Overview

Dough Lab is an iOS baking companion designed to guide users through complex bread workflows with built-in timers, fold tracking, and hands-free interactions. The focus was reliability, background execution, and making long fermentation processes easy to manage.

What I Owned

• Designed overall app architecture using SwiftUI and modular workflow components
• Built timer orchestration system supporting background execution and lock-screen reliability
• Implemented voice-enabled interactions and accessibility-driven hands-free navigation
• Architected CloudKit-based data syncing to support offline-first behavior with multi-device sync
• Led App Store release process and ensured production-level stability and UX polish

Engineering Challenges

• Coordinating multiple long-running timers without breaking under background state transitions
• Ensuring notifications remained accurate across app restarts and device locks
• Designing state management for multi-step workflows without becoming tightly coupled
• Managing iCloud sync consistency while supporting offline usage
